The Blue Frog Café
Where Community Comes Together
Located at the heart of Dalton Leisure Centre, The Blue Frog Café is more than just somewhere to enjoy great food and drink. It's a welcoming space where people can relax, catch up with friends and become part of the community.
As a charity-run leisure centre, community has always been at the heart of everything we do. Built through the dedication of local people and supported by the community ever since opening in 1987, Dalton Leisure Centre continues to provide a place where everyone feels welcome. The Blue Frog Café proudly carries on that tradition.
Since opening in April 2025, the café has become a popular meeting place for visitors, local groups and families looking for a friendly atmosphere, good food and a warm welcome.
Fresh Food, Friendly Faces
Our menu offers something for every occasion, from freshly prepared breakfasts and lunches to sandwiches, homemade specials, cakes and light bites.
We also serve barista-style coffee, children's meals and lighter options, making it easy to enjoy a meal or a quick refreshment whenever you visit. Where possible, we aim to support local suppliers, helping to celebrate the fantastic businesses within our community.
A Community Hub
The Blue Frog Café has quickly become much more than a café. It's a place where people come together.
Throughout the year, we host a variety of community activities, including coffee mornings, fundraising events and informal get-togethers, creating opportunities for people to connect in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Whether you're visiting on your own, meeting friends or attending one of our community events, you'll always find a friendly face waiting to welcome you.
Our Charity
Supporting Our Charity
Every purchase made in The Blue Frog Café helps support Dalton Leisure Centre and the work of The Dalton and District Recreational Charity Trust.
As a not-for-profit organisation, income generated through the café is reinvested back into the centre, helping us maintain our facilities, develop new activities and continue providing opportunities that benefit local people for years to come.
Thank you for supporting your local leisure centre.
